i received a letter from the BHPD saying they found my driver's license...so I made my first visit to the BHPD..I walk by it all the time but never had a reason to go inside..i figured it would be a gruff place with somebody at the front counter immediately suspiciously saying "Can I help you" but as it turns out it is a very pleasant atmosphere by and large...spacious and nicely decorated. And they took the time and expense to notify me of my recovered items...something I KNOW (or seriously DOUBT) the LAPD would take the time or expense to do. On one of the walls that I walked thru on the way to the property room (which is not accessible to the public unless they are taking you to the property room, and therefore I couldn't slow down to take pictures, thus it is not shown here) they had a LOT of photos of various BH police posing with celebrities, one that I remember is George Clooney who is too liberal for me, but nonetheless I am just trying to tell you what I experienced). At the property room they promptly handed me my long lost driver's license.
Thanks BHPD, keep up the good work!
