this is "Jason" at Ford of Orange who disrespected me & disrespected the City of Bellflower...very strange experience at Ford of Orange on Katella Ave. I received a letter from Ford Motor Co notifying me of a "safety recall" in regard to my torque converter. So I came to Ford of Orange and asked them to do the work. It was supposed to take one day. I first spoke with "Jimmy" (I think they give their workers "American names" because Jimmy was Asian , and Jason seems to be Latino) and asked him about a loaner car for a day while they did the work. Jimmy said they don't do that anymore. He said he would order the parts and to come back Monday and they would start working on it. When i arrived on Monday Jimmy wasn't there but another worker quickly offered to give me a free rental car. I was happy to get a loaner rental for free as one would expect, but upset that JImmy lied to me. Later I talked to Bob about it and he told me to talk to Jason. Subsequently all my communication was with Jason. On Tuesday I called and asked how the work was coming and they hadn't even gotten the parts yet. Jason told me that they had used the parts for a different vehicle. So they were ordering another set of parts. I wondered if that was true. I told him I needed to get more stuff out of my car if they were going to keep it another day. He said come on by. And so I did around 6pm, most of the workers were gone, including Jason. I found my vehicle in the back, and was absolutely stunned to discover they had left the windows open the entire night with the key in the ignition! Total incompetence. I had clearly told them when I arrived that I had "lots of stuff" in my vehicle as I was in the process of moving. I looked for somebody to talk to about it...a few workers said they don't speak English..I went back in to the sales area and found a guy named Henry. He was surprised as well about my vehicle being left wide open all night. He said he would make sure it wouldn't happen again. I called him the next day to make sure he gave the key to the mechanic. And another day passed by ,...still not finished...Finally Friday came and Jason Called and said it was ready. When i arrived to pick up my vehicle as I was sitting in the waiting area where Jason has a desk, he looked over at me , and said "Philip, do you live in Bellflower?" I said yes thinking he had a clerical reason for asking. I don't actually live there although I do sometimes sleep there once in a while. It's my parents house and they moved there because of our Dutch heritage and it is where my grandfather started a Christian school and pastored a church, among other things. But Jason clearly said this to try to imply it is not a nice place to live. He raised his eyebrows and smirked after I said yes. The impact of the insult didn't actually hit me until later. It's not something you would expect from a clerk or customer service or anybody for that matter. So after all was said and done I wrote some letters about it. There is nothing wrong about Bellflower. It has a mix of people and socio-economics just like anywhere. It's not Beverly Hills, but who is Jason to think he has the right to judge anybody. He works behind a desk at Ford ..a job that probably doesn't even require a college degree. Who is he to judge? I graduated from college with honors...and got two bachelors degrees and a masters-in-divinity. Who is "Jason" to judge me or anybody else? He should be fired.
