nice hike to Phelps Lake from the preserve, BUT, and this is a BIG BUT, parking is a BIG PROBLEM...very limited from trailhead...once it fills up, your only choice is to wait in your cars for hikers to return and vacate their parking space...that's what the cars in the above photo are doing..waiting for a space..maybe an hour or more...what a drag. Luckily I found a place down the road, making the hike about a half-mile longer...but parking on the road is also VERY LIMITED..
